Tryouts for the 2025 Plumstead Baseball Travel Teams

We are excited to announce our 2025 travel team tryouts for all rising 8U-12U players! Please see below for details and register today!

When?

Tryouts will be held on the following dates/times:

12U:

Saturday 9/7: 10:30am

Saturday 9/14: 10:30am

11U:

Saturday 9/28: 1:30pm (Cancelled due to weather - no makeup date scheduled yet)

Saturday 10/5: 1:30pm

Sunday 10/6: 12:30pm (Rescheduled from 9/28)

10U:

Which players are eligible?

12U (born May 2012 - April 2013)

11U (born May 2013 - April 2014)

10U (born May 2014 - April 2015)

9U (born May 2015 - April 2016)

8U (born May 2016 - April 2017)

Is there a cost and how do player register?

There is not a cost to tryout out for our travel teams. If a player is selected for a travel team, there will be a deposit due in 2024 to help pay for things like winter workouts, spring travel, tournaments and more.

We ask that all prospective players register on this page so we know how many players to expect.

Which tryout to attend?

Players should attend the tryout of their age group as listed above. While there may be some circumstances where a player could “play up” in an older division, that will be a decision made by the coaches and the overwhelming majority will play in their age group. Thus, there is not a decision on which tryout to attend.

All players MUST attend at least one tryout to be eligible for the 2025 travel teams. If there are circumstances where they cannot make one of the dates listed above, please reach out to [email protected] and we can try to accommodate a time to have your child try out.

How and when are teams formed?

Players will be evaluated by the head coach of a given team as well as independent evaluators during the tryout sessions. Those evaluations will be part of a process to select teams amongst the coaches in each age group.
The number of players on each roster as well as the number of teams will be determined by the skill level/coachability of players as well as the number of tryout participants in each age group.
Players chosen for the team will be notified by the head coach within two weeks after the final tryout. Families will then have 48 hours to confirm their commitment and complete the registration with deposit for the 2025 season.
